I hereby apply to Study Group NZ Limited trading as Taylors College, New Zealand and (hereinafter referred to as Taylors College) to enrol in the programme as nominated on the Application for Admission.
I agree to pay to Taylors College the annual tuition fee of NZ$18,000 for the Standard or Accelerated Programme 2008, NZ$26,800 for the Pre-Foundation Programme 2008, or NZ$425 per week for the Taylors English Language Preparation in 2008 in accordance with the payment terms.
I further agree to pay all additional course fees and such other charges as may become payable to Taylors College during the period of my enrolment, within 14 days of the issue of an account by Taylors College for such fees. Taylors College agrees to provide tuition to me in all subjects of the Taylors Auckland Foundation Year, Taylors Certificate in Pre-Foundation Studies and Taylors English Language Preparation, conditional upon my working regularly and systematically through those subjects in accordance with instructions and provided all fees owing are paid on the due dates.
I acknowledge that:
- Any variation of the terms and conditions of this agreement must be in writing and be signed on behalf of Taylors College.
- It is a condition of enrolment that I attend all scheduled classes except where there is a legitimate reason for non-attendance (eg illness supported by a Doctor’s Certificate) which is acceptable to Taylors College. If the enrolment terminates due to a breach of this condition, I understand and agree that I am not entitled to any refund of the annual tuition fee or other charges paid under this contract of enrolment.
- (a) All lessons and any material related thereto supplied by Taylors College is copyright and remains the property of Taylors College
(b) Any unauthorised copying may constitute a breach of the Copyright Act 1994.
(c) The material supplied shall, upon completion of the course, be returned by me to Taylors College.
- I am required to use my best endeavours to meet the requirements of the TAFY and to abide by the rules and regulations of Taylors College for the running of Taylors College and the conduct
of students. If I breach any of the college rules or my behaviour is deemed unacceptable by Taylors College, my enrolment may be cancelled and I agree that I will not be entitled to any refund
of the annual tuition fee or other charges paid under this contract of enrolment.
I understand that infringementof campus rules and regulatios will result in a fine. Local campus rules and regulations and all costs and charges can be found on our Fees pages.
- I understand that I may be required to attend organised Taylors College excursions and activities as part of my course. I also authorise Taylors College to obtain medical treatment for
me should such action be deemed necessary by Taylors College or a staff member acting on behalf of Taylors College. I agree to indemnify Taylors College for any expense, loss, damage
or liability of whatsoever nature occasioned as a result of authorising and arranging such emergency medical treatment.
- I agree that I am responsible for my own books, equipment and personal items and I hereby release Taylors College from all liability and claims for loss or damage to such items, howsoever caused.
Privacy
Students and their parents or guardians agree that the student’s photo, details and achievements may be used for promotional purposes without written consent or notification. If you do not agree, please contact the College in writing.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
- Taylors College will refund within 30 days and without deduction, all fees paid where the student’s application for enrolment is refused by Taylors College.
- Taylors College agrees to refund within 30 days and without deduction, all fees paid where the student produces certified evidence that the application made by the student for a student visa has been rejected by the New Zealand immigration authorities.
- Taylors College agrees to refund within 30 days of the receipt of written notice of cancellation by the student (or parent or guardian if the student is less than 18 years of age), fees paid by or on behalf of the student less the amounts to be retained as agreed and as detailed below:
a. If written notice of cancellation is received within 7 days after the first day of the course for which attendance is required (i.e. orientation), Taylors College will be entitled to retain the lesser of $500 or 10% of the amount/s paid.
b. If written notice of cancellation is received later than the 7th day after the first day of the course for which attendance is required (i.e. orientation), there will be no refund of any moneys paid.
- Cancellation of Enrolment by the College:
The College may cancel a student’s enrolment should the student breach any of the college’s rules or if his/her behaviour is deemed unacceptable by the College:
a. If a student’s enrolment is cancelled within seven days after the first day of the course for which attendance is required, Taylors College will retain the lesser of $500 or 10% of the fees amount paid. The related refund will be completed within 30 days of such cancellation.
b. If a student’s enrolment is cancelled by the college later than the 7th day after the first day of the course for which attendance is required there will be no refund of any fees paid.
- Courses of one to 34 days duration:
If you withdraw within the first two days of the course you will receive 50% of the total fees you have paid. If you withdraw after the first two days no refund is made.
- Courses of 35 days to 3 months duration:
If you withdraw within the first five days of the course you will receive 75% of the total fees you have paid. If you withdraw after the first five days no refund is made.
Credit card payments
Payments made by credit cards (Visa, Mastercard and American Express) will attract a 2% surcharge.
Airport Pickup refunds
For cancellations less than 48 hours before arrival no refund will apply.
